Job Summary
This role is a commission position exclusive to Mixto Festival with the potential for future opportunities with other Uma Nota projects.
Uma Nota Culture is a registered not-for-profit whose mandate is to foster the landscape for diverse music in Canada, and provide creative avenues for expression for both artists and revellers. UNC events are designed to be safe, accessible, friendly, and fun, broadening the audience of under-represented artists, giving a platform for cross-cultural understanding, and cross-genre experimentation.
Mixto Festival is Uma Nota’s flagship event held every year since 2019, bringing together communities, cultures and contemporary experiences in a uniquely celebratory format that avoids presenting “world music” as a static or exotic experience. Instead, cultural diversity is treated as an intuitive and integral part of the city’s intercultural fabric.
This position will report to the Mixto Partnership Manager and compensation will be commission-based on successfully secured sponsorships. The successful candidate will be responsible for outreach, establishing relationships and securing sponsorship for Mixto Festival.

We are looking for someone who has established relationships with potential sponsors and an ear to ground for upcoming opportunities to secure sponsorship for Mixto 2023.
